Rory and Sarah Macdonald
Rory and Sarah are based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 2006 Rory, a native Scot, was hired to play drums at Centrepoint Church in Edinburgh, Scotland. With no knowledge or relationship with God to speak of, God got a hold of Rory and radically saved and transformed his life, turning Rory from a non-believing, hired-in drummer into a passionate follower of Jesus. From then on Rory became a core member of Centrepoint church’s lay leadership, helping to run and lead outreaches into the city. It was while doing this that Rory met the love of his life, Sarah.
Sarah moved to Scotland from her native Atlanta, GA in 2008 after graduating from Georgia Tech, where she also pitched for the Yellow Jackets softball team. She came to faith in Jesus when she was a high school senior and following college Sarah answered the call of God to move to Scotland as a full-time missionary. In Scotland she served on staff at Centrepoint Church providing discipleship and ministry to young women, leading and hosting mission teams and pioneering outreach to women in Edinburgh’s sex industry. Rory and Sarah’s love for each other blossomed as they served alongside each other and they married in 2010. In 2011 God led Rory & Sarah to move to Atlanta, GA for a season of preparati
on and equipping through work in both the church and business worlds. In 2014 the Macdonalds were called to move back to Scotland to serve as full-time missionaries with Centrepoint Church. Rory & Sarah have two loving, joyful wee boys named JD and Robbie.
